Après un passage de quelques années à Montréal, Erin Candela est installée depuis peu à Toronto où elle vit et travaille maintenant.
Originaire du Nord de la Colombie-Britanique, elle est fasciné par l'idée du Nord et la manière dont cela a façonné sa propre existence.Traduction à venir...
«Erin Candela just recently arrived in Toronto, Ontario, where she now lives and works. Originally from northern British Columbia, she is familiar with and fascinated by the north and how the idea of North defines her history and that of the vast country she belongs to. As an artist, her subject matter addresses the issue of an existing but ambiguous Canadian identity, history, and mythology. Candela works with documents that contribute to a national memory. Historical text, postcards, encyclopedias and other parafanalia are used develop her images and ideas.
